Te Anau Manapouri Lake Hotel

Staying at Lakeview Motor Inn in Manapouri was quite an experience. The view from my room was the best part. Looking out at the lake and mountains every morning filled me with joy. The fresh air and peaceful ambiance made the mornings good. The room was tidy and comfortable, with a cozy bed that assisted in a good night's rest. I appreciated having a small refrigerator and tea/coffee facilities. I faced a couple of issues. The Wi-Fi connection fluctuated, sometimes fast and sometimes slow, challenging to plan my days. The bathroom could use some updates as there were some maintenance issues like weak water pressure in the shower. With its fine view and comfortable stay, I'd suggest a few updates to improve the experience further.

Curtains need updating, but I'm sure you know this! Female staff in Restaurant lacks skill, knowledge and her attitude was poor.

The rooms are nicely decorated and brand-new, have electric blankets. The atmosphere of the hotel is special. Very good service and the food is tasty. So, it has free Wi-Fi throughout the property. The location is quiet, 2 km from Manapouri Lake.

Amazing views, but needs improvement

Waking up to the fine views of Lake Manapouri was a joy. The sunny ambiance typically made mornings lively, and the staff were friendly.

The room felt cramped with minimal kitchenware-it lacked plates and utensils were great. Maintenance issues were also evident.

Had a great stay! The lake views were fine, and the beds were comfortable enough for a quick two-night escape. Just wish there had been a bit more kitchenware in the unit. A solid choice for the price!

My Credit Card was charged before I arrived in Sterling using a poor exchange rate and charging an additional commission on top. This is extremely sharp practise and the management deserve to lose business when they do this.

Love the location and the view. It was scenic and totally calming. Easy access to the beach for morning walks, 15mins drive to Te Anau to get whatever we wanted. The staff (front desk, housekeeping) were extremely friendly and helpful. The weather was cold but the room was warm and comfy. Definitely would recommend place to friends and would go back with family, when possible. Keep it up!

There was no partition for the shower (except for the shower curtain) and the water tend to pool on the floor and didn't dry up even in the next morning. But other than that the place is perfect and value for money.
